Jeffrey Owen, Chairperson
Jeff Owen is a practicing attorney. He is the President of Cooper, Owen & Renner, P.C. located in Pittsburgh. Jeff received his BA in 1982 from Allegheny College in Meadville, PA and in 1985 his Juris Doctor from the Ohio State University College of Law in Columbus, OH. He is also currently pursuing his M. Div. degree in the MNA/LAMP Seminary program, and plans to seek ordination into the PCA.
Jeff and his family are members of New Covenant Presbyterian Church in Monroeville, PA, where he is a Ruling Elder. He also leads the high school ministry and stays active in several community and Christian organizations. He is currently a member of the Standing Judicial Commission of the PCA. Jeff and his wife Dawn have three daughters and live in Pitcairn, PA.
Jim Cristman, Vice Chairperson
Jim Cristman joined the board of seeJesus in Fall 2009. He is Vice President with CITGO Petroleum at the Lemont Refinery, serving as Plant Manager. During his thirty-year career at the Lemont Refinery, he has been an operator, unit supervisor, training coordinator, area manager, and general manager. Prior to joining the refinery he was a police officer. He attended DuPage Junior College for two years.
One of Jim's greatest passions is leading people to Jesus. He leads several Person of Jesus studies. Of this he says, “My friends are so hungry to learn about Jesus. When I want to shorten a lesson, they want to keep going. The lessons allow me to continually reference what Jesus did, helping people look at him. I show them, instead of telling them.”
Jim lives in Illinois with his wife Cheryl and has four grown children. He also serves as a ruling elder at Spring Valley Presbyterian Church in Roselle, Illinois.
Bob Loker, Secretary
Bob Loker grew up in San Juan, Puerto Rico. After graduating from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA in 1960, Bob began a seventeen-year career with the U.S. Government and was posted in embassies in Ecuador, Uruguay and Panama. He next served for three years as principal of a Christian school in Providence Forge, VA. He has recently retired after twenty years as president and co-owner of Shaia Oriental Rugs of Williamsburg.
Bob was married to Becky, whom he met in high school, for 47 years. Together they had three daughters and nine grandchildren. After retiring Bob and Becky moved to Purcellville, VA, where they joined St. Peter's Episcopal Church. They had been members of Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Williamsburg, where Bob was a ruling elder. He served part-time there as Ministries Director and Coordinator for Small Group Ministries. After a courageous battle with cancer, Becky passed away in 2009. Bob has known Paul Miller for over eleven years and has used seeJesus material extensively in retreats, adult education and small group studies.
Doug Wallace, Treasurer
Doug Wallace has been an informal advisor to seeJesus since our early years. In January 2009 he made his advisory status official, joining the Board of Directors. Doug brings to seeJesus his wisdom, common sense, and broad financial knowledge. As Chief Investment Officer at Alpha Advisors, he provides over 30 years’ experience managing investments in a wide variety of markets and environments.
Before founding Alpha Advisors, Doug spent 15 years managing portfolios for Crestar Bank (now SunTrust). In addition to his passions for investments and stewardship, he enjoys camping, woodworking, and spending time with his three grandchildren.
Drew Bennett
Drew Bennett lives in Winter Haven, FL with his wife, Ashley and their four children: Canaan, Isaac, Abigail, and Sarah. In 2008, Drew planted a church in Winter Haven, his hometown. For the past five years he has been leading Person of Jesus studies in small groups with both Christians and non-Christians attending. He has also led The Person of Jesus study in India and Uganda.
Cathie Martin
Cathie Martin has been involved with seeJesus from the beginning. She considers it a privilege to be a part of a group of people who want more than anything else to see people become more like Jesus. The Person of Jesus study has been a beautiful encouragement to her. Looking at Jesus as a real man, watching him pour love into each individual He interacts with is an opportunity for her to fall in love with him all over again. Cathie and her husband David have 2 children and live in Solon, Ohio.
