A quick look at Small Group Leader Training

Designed to transform small group ministry and renew your love for Jesus, this track trains people to lead the Person of Jesus study by immersing them in the Passion (Unit 5 of the study). Limited to 6-7 people, the course is set up like a good small group, where everyone is an involved learner. Each participant prepares a lesson beforehand, teaches this to the small group, and gets coaching from a seeJesus Trainer. Along the way, a seeJesus trainer teaches how to lead quality small groups. The results? Participants fall more in love with Jesus and are equipped to lead a small group.

How Does the Training Work?

1. Each participant is assigned a lesson they will teach at the seminar for 35 minutes. Participants receive the benefit of preparing a lesson, teaching a lesson, getting feedback, seeing 5-6 other styles of leading, and observing an experienced teacher, the seeJesus Trainer.
2. Following each lesson, the seeJesus Trainer will give the study leader a brief verbal evaluation to highlight his/her strengths and weaknesses. By listening to one another's evaluations, everyone benefits.
3. Interspersed throughout the training are short teachings that include: vision for small groups; solving problems in interactive Bible study; and how to include seekers.

Pre-requisites for Registering

Prior attendance at a Person of Jesus Seminar, Study or Jesus Weekend. Or, watch the Person of Jesus Training DVD.
