After nearly three decades in institutional investment management, Darrin Hogsed found himself at a crossroads. God used a well-timed Sunday lunch with A Praying Life International Director, Bob Allums, to remind Darrin of a passion he’d begun stirring many years earlier.

Darrin first encountered seeJesus through A Praying Life and A Praying Church Seminars, where the idea of prayer as honest conversation with God began transforming his relationship with the Father. In 2020, God started turning Darrin's heart more intentionally toward relationships and loving people. He became a deacon and got involved in several ministries, including the men’s ministry. It seemed fitting to Darrin to now turn his attention, vocationally, to helping others see Jesus — which he does every day in his role as Development Officer.

Darrin lives in Naperville, IL with his wife Kristen. Originally from Western NC, they have two sons and enjoy camping, though with a travel trailer in tow, some might call it "glamping."
